Yesterday I went to Michael's to use my $50 gift card my brother gave me for Christmas...how exciting! I went up and down every aisle, got one of those gold leaf paper mache Reindeer for $5.00, some interesting papers(I don't scrapbook, but love the papers), some Pearl Ex powders(wonderful colors), a Tim Holtz Distressable book(love his stuff!), a stretched canvas(all were 50% off, great deal on those), and a distressed ink pad. That $50 sure went FAST!! Now,I have so many ideas in my head, I feel cluttered up there, not sure which project to start on first, but the main thing is to start!
I am so intrigued by these Artist trading cards! Jan, have you done any? I am so behind...just found out about them. I've been too into my dog hobby I guess. Gosh, they are soooo neat, I have to try a few. Strange, I've been captivated by old photos and postcards for so long, and now I see a wonderful way to create with them. Fun, fun...
Here's an old photo of my mom and dad on their wedding day. My mom was so mad at my dad because he wore his sailor suit! He was in the Navy and proud of it! I have to admit, I think he looks so cute here. They'll be married 64 years on July 3rd this year. Anyhow, I want to make a copy of this photo and maybe make something for them using the ATC/collage idea. Off to create...

Wow 64 years, that is one year longer than when I was born. I say PRAISE GOD for two people staying together so long. You are truly blessed. I made my first attempt at the ATC thing, I mailed it out to a friend...can't wait to see what you come up with.
Yep! $50 can go way too fast in Michael's! I'm looking forward to what you create next. As for the ATC's I haven't tried them yet but they're on my list! Of course that list is getting mighty long but one of these days I'll try one.
Your mom and dad look so happy in the photo. I like that he wore his uniform....they both wore white!
